12 arrested people were released for resisting evacuation of flag pillars on the roadside

Twelve members of Tamil Nadu Expressways Ministry Salai Paniyalar Sangam were arrested after installing here at the flag post office of the association installed near the TV Tollgate area on Monday.

The state highway department has been removing flag posts installed on the roadside parties and organizations.

Officials arrived in the morning to remove the flag mailer of the Tamil Nadu highway department, Salai Paniyalar Sangam, installed in front of the state highway office, when Sangam members opposed the removal and debated. Police officers held talks with them. Twelve of them were arrested and the flag post was evacuated. Police sources said the holder was later released.
