14.7 kg Ganja caught near Kaziput Station

Warangal:As a special drive across the state, eliminating Ganja and anesthetic substances, the excise tax officer caught 14.7 kg of dry ganja near Kaziput Railway Station in Hanamkoda District. The operation was conducted under the direction of Shahnawaz Qasim, Director of the GST, and was supervised by Warangal Deputy Director of the GST, Anjan Rao. Although the case has been registered, no arrests have been made so far.
The Kazipet excise tax team led by CI Chandramohan conducted intensive inspections in suspicious areas after intelligence input to show that Ganja was smuggled through Visakhapatnam and Bhubaneswar, through Konark Express, East Coast Express, East Coast Express, Gandhidham Express, Gandhidham Express and Ltd.
During the search, officials found an unattended bag near the station. After inspection, it was found that the bag contained a small brown bag that emitted a strong smell. The substance was determined to be dry ganja weighing 14.7 kg and the estimated market value is Rs 90,000.
The CI said that smugglers may have given up on the bags due to intensified police surveillance. He confirmed efforts are being made to identify and arrest the culprit. He also warned that owning, transporting or consuming Ganja is a punishment crime and said strict action will be taken against those who are conducting such activities. He urged young people to stay away from drugs and protect their future. The action team includes Si Tirupati and Head Constables Khaleel, Lalaiah, Kotilingam, Ayub and Rasheed.
