D-NY representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez mocked Tom Homan on Friday as border officials threatened to report to the Justice Department that guides immigrants to avoid deportation. At the Queens Hall party, Ocasio-Cortez said she lacked attention to immigration officials’ statements after the February “Know Your Rights” webinar. Homan said her actions could be illegal and could hinder Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from implementing the Trump administration’s deportation plan. “Tom Homan said he was referring me to the Department of Justice because I used my right to freedom of speech to provide constitutional protection to people. I said: Come on, do I look like I care?” Ocasio-Cortez told a cheering crowd. “There's nothing illegal, if they want it to break the law, they can take me there,” she said.
