Manoj Kumar once dragged Shah Rukh Khan to court for Rs 10 billion

Known for films and strong opinions
Kumar has gained recognition for his contribution to Indian films, especially in his role in a patriotic role. In addition to his work in the film, he is also known for his powerful open stands. One of the most public events was his legal dispute with actor Shah Rukh Khan and director Farah Khan.
Legal disputes about “Om Shanti Om”
The dispute began after the 2007 movie Om Shanti Om Shah Rukh Khan’s character covers his face with his hands – Kumar is considered a parody of imitation. In 2008, he threatened to take legal action against Khan and the filmmakers unless they delete the scene and apologize.
But while the film is still being released live in Japan, Kumar continued to sue the manufacturer and Shah Rukh Khan for accusing them of “disrespect” him for Rs 1,000 crore. Kumar’s lawyer said Khan apologized via email. Still, there are scenes in the Japanese version, which makes Kumar “highly frustrated and shocked”.
“I forgave them twice”
“This movie was released in Japan and did not delete these scenes. I forgave them twice, but not this time. They disrespect me. They also faced contempt for the court, just like the court in 2008 asked them to remove these scenes from all print and broadcast material forever, deleting these scenes.”
The case was withdrawn in 2013
In August 2013, Kumar decided to withdraw the case. According to his lawyers, the case did not successfully hold Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan accountable. “They didn’t even show any remorse. So my client, a well-known celebrity, decided to withdraw the case because it failed to achieve the goal of bringing some sense of responsibility to Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan,” the lawyer said.
The final ceremony scheduled
Manoj Kumar, commonly known as “Bharat Kumar”, will be cremated on Saturday. His contribution to Indian films and powerful public roles leaves a lasting memory of the industry and audience.
