Lawrence Leduc, an emeritus professor at the University of Toronto, suggested that as their initial momentum began to weaken, liberals benefited from liberals.
“They may be smart and can choose the shortest movement because they may not be able to maintain that momentum anymore,” he said.
Despite the election victory, liberals now face minority challenges, gradually leading to regional differences and addressing ongoing voter concerns beyond the threat posed by the United States.
As Carney himself admits, “The next few days and weeks are not easy.”
Despite Trump’s surge, liberals failed to secure a majority revealing regional weaknesses, especially in Ontario’s 905 and multicultural areas.
While the progressive groups in the city center flock to liberals, life concerns and conservative benefits in blue-collar riding played a major role. A brief movement could save the Liberals from further losses.
