22 Maoists arrested, bombs occupied in Chhattisgarh

Police said on Thursday (April 17, 2025) that 22 Maoists were arrested in three places in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh and captured explosive materials from three places.

An official said that on Tuesday (April 15) (April 15) in a forest near the village of Tekmetla in the Usoor Police Department area, when a joint team of COBRA (the commando battalion of fixed operations) was a CRPF’s elite force), local police stood out in an operation to dominate a region.

He said six other Maoists were arrested in the fortress of the village of Belchar within the Jangla police station, and nine cadres were arrested in the forest of Kandakarka Village under the Nelasnar Police Stoilt Stoide Station area on Tuesday.

A separate joint team of security personnel participated in both operations.

The official said Tiffan bombs, gelatin sticks, detonators, wires, batteries, Maoist brochures and other items were found from arrested Maoists aged 19 to 45.
