23 buses were injured, trucks collided

Karimnagar: 23 passengers were injured – five critically – At that time, the Telangana State Road Transportation Company (TGSRTC) bus and a mud-filled truck collided head-on along Rajiv Rahadari on Thursday afternoon.

Police said the accident occurred between the villages of Andugulapalli and Appannapeta, where highway repairs reduced traffic on a single lane. The bus is heading to Peddapalli and the van is heading to Karimnagar.

Of the 42 people on the bus, 23 were seriously injured. Several others, including the truck driver and the cleaner, escaped the minor wounds. Emergency services take the injured to the Peddapalli Regional Hospital.

The case is registered and investigators are checking whether one-way traffic arrangements have caused a collision.
