A mistress in the air was allegedly sexually harassed on a ventilator and was in a semi-conscious state while being treated at a private hospital in Gurugram.
Gurugram police said the incident allegedly occurred on April 6, but the complaint was filed at the Sardar Police Station on April 14 the day after she was discharged from the hospital.
The 46-year-old woman represented her company to Gurugram for training and stayed in a five-star hotel. During this time, her condition worsened due to drowning in the swimming pool, and she was subsequently taken to a private hospital for treatment.
On April 5, her husband took her to another private hospital in the city. She was on a ventilator when hospital staff allegedly sexually harassed her. She was in a semi-conscious state when she was suspected of harassment and could not resist. The complaint said two nurses were nearby, too, but they did not intervene.
After being discharged from the hospital on April 13, she revealed information about the harassment to her husband, and he then called the police control room. Later, she filed a formal complaint at the police station with the presence of legal counsel.
Gururam police said the victim’s statement was recorded before the magistrate and the matter is under investigation. Police said footage of CCTV cameras inside the hospital is under review and the defendant will be arrested soon.
