26/11 The victim’s family demands Lana’s hang

Mumbai: Family members of the victims of the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attack demanded a death sentence for Tahawwur Rana, one of the main defendants in the case.
Assistant Deputy Inspector Tukaram Omble’s brother, Eknath Omble, was killed while helping to capture terrorist Ajmal Kasab.
“Terrorists should be hanged publicly. If even a attack on India is considered, the punishment should be information for all terrorists,” Eknas said.
Tukaram Omble was awarded the Ashoka Chakra, the highest peacetime Brave Award in India after his death for his courage and sacrifice.
Eknath stressed the delay in judicial proceedings, criticized the time it took to punish Kasab and urged the government not to repeat the mistake. “It took years to bring Kasab to justice. This time, we must act faster. The country should be closed and the victims should be justice.”
Retired inspector Hemant Bavdhankar conducted a 26/11 terrorist attack with his team and captured Kasab, who welcomed the extradition of Tahawwur Rana from the United States. “Every Indian wants to be tried in court here and be punished the most severely. This will satisfy the desire of every Indian who is that he should be punished strictly in the Indian court,” Bavdhankar said.
He added: “For Lana’s extradition, we filed a case in the U.S. Supreme Court, and the court accepted the case. We filed the lawsuit, and then the court handed over Lana to us.”
Devika Rotawan, one of the injured people in the attack, said: “Even if I’ve been cured, my legs will still swell if I’ve walked for too long. The bullet still has a big wound in my calf.” Devika determined in court that Kasab was the one who was reveling.
