Chennai College graduate partner with American college students

The Rajalakshmi School of Engineering has launched its master’s program in partnership with Arizona State University. During the two-year course, students will start their course in Chennai and complete the rest of the program at ASU (12 to 18 months).

The college’s vice president Abhay Shankar Meghanathan said he was impressed by the ASU ecosystem and their goal was to satisfy everyone. He said the institution has been tied to the university and launched an implementation plan for technical subjects, “this will be beneficial to IT companies, SMEs and the MSME sector.”

The plans are Master of Science in Software Engineering; Software Engineering (Cybersecurity); Computer Science; and AI Business.

Chris Johnson, senior director of global cooperative development and director of global partner development at Arizona State University, said the goal is to invest in education so that solutions can be discovered.

Chris Hodges, U.S. Consul General Chennai, said research plays an important role in higher education. “Higher education is talked about globally, but it is really important to emphasize and think about the importance of universities as drivers of research and innovation.”

He talked about the possibility that teachers come to India for research, which is part of the partnership, and the importance of industry and business, facilitates and implements research.
