Hyderabad: A three-year-old boy strolled on the main road in Madhuranagar in Machu Bill on Tuesday night and was knocked down by a car. Inspector J. Upender Rao said no one noticed the child entering the road until he was hit by a vehicle allegedly driven with rashness.
When they realized what was going on, the parents drove the child to a nearby hospital where he died while under treatment. Car driver Srinivas has been arrested.
Worker died after truck crash
Hyderabad: Gangapaka Arjun, 50, reportedly died as a worker, reportedly driving a ready-made mixed cement van at high speed, and he hit his two-wheeler in Narkuda around 9.15 a.m. Tuesday. Shamshabad inspector K. Narender Reddy said Arjun was heading to Shabad at the time of the accident. The locals informed his relative Kukkal Anjaneyulu and called the police. The case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
Choreographer dies in the right fire
Hyderabad:A 38-year-old choreographer Porkati Veerkand Reddy died in a fire in an apartment in Narsingi Puppalaguda at about 2.30 AM on Tuesday night. Inspector Narsingi Hari Krishna Reddy said the fire broke out from the air conditioner in the victim's room.
Four other family members, including two minors, appeared in the House of Representatives at the time of the incident.
Police said the other residents immediately left the burning house and called Narsingi police, who went to the place with Panjaguta Fire Department. “We immediately opened the door and found Veerkand Reddy. We managed the CPR to him but found he was dead. The furniture was damaged,” said inspector Hari Krishna Reddy.
By the time the rescue team arrived, the fire engulfed the house, leaving behind furniture, clothes and all other household items. The fire brigade took nearly 30 minutes to put out the flames.
“He was asleep when the fire broke out. We are waiting for medical reports,” said Panjagutta Station fire officer P. Ramesh.
