Zeenat Aman recalls Amitabh Bachchan’s pride

In an Instagram post, Zeenat Aman is her usual candid and charming self, one of her iconic songs – Samundar Mein Naha Ke from Pukar. The film also plays her Don co-star Amitabh Bachchan. The actress mentioned that due to the weather, she remembered her “salty lyrics” and “honey” chemistry with Amitabh Bachchan.
The actress revealed that this is the first shot of Amitabh Bachchan’s life-threatening accident in coolies.
Zeenat Aman on Samundar Mein Naha Ke
The actress said in her post that Puka was a “explosion”. She claimed she had only one job to do in Samundar Mein Naha Ke – “looks pretty.” The legend says Amitabh Bachchan danced around her in the song “A Bird of Passionate Heaven.”
“So Samundar Mein Naha Ke was shot dead on an empty beach, which is a simple thing. At least for me! I don’t have any lip sync and there’s not much orchestration to learn. The short simplicity is basic – looks pretty – looks pretty! Bird of Paradise,” the post reads.
The Qurbani star said the suit was ecstatic as the shot was Amitabh Bachchan’s first game after the coolie accident.
Zeenat Aman’s swimming skills
The actress made a surprising revelation in the post – she didn’t know how to swim when she shot Pukar. She added that she was very nervous before the filming and had to swallow “a considerable amount of nerves (and sea water)” in order to twist some shots in the water.
Despite the obstacles, Zeenat Aman said she thought she “had done a compelling job in becoming Jal Pari”.
Zeenat Aman on her old song
This is not the first time Zeenat Aman has talked about her old songs. Earlier, the actress released the influence of Yaadon Ki Baaraat’s song Chura Liya. Zeenat Aman explains in her post how Chura Liya became her “theme song”.
Zeenat Aman’s next project
The veteran star will appear among the Rom-com royals on Netflix. Royals also include Bhumi Pednekar, Ishaan Khatter and Nora Fatehi. It will mark Zeenat Aman’s Netflix debut.
