37,655 Appeared on the EAPCET exam

Kakinada: Common entrance exams for engineering, agriculture and pharmaceutical courses in Andhra Pradesh (APCET) were held on Monday.

Of the 40,917 applicants, as many as 37,655 participated in the test, registering for a 92.03% attendance rate, while 3262 candidates skipped. EAPCET convener VV Subba Rao said the exam was held in a smooth and fair manner at 145 centres, including Hyderabad.

Some 3101 candidates attended the exam in NTR district, which had the highest attendance, while 3,000 candidates in Kurnool, 2539 in Anantapur, 1204 in Kakinada, 1930 in Guntur, 1204 in East Godavari, 1153 in Annamayya, 1542 in Prakasam, 1318 in Nandyal, 898 in Palnadu, 558 in Krishna, 759 in Konaseema, 950 in Eluru, 798 in Chittoor, 519 in Bapatla Center.

It is worth noting that those who are even a minute late are not allowed to enter the exam hall.
