4 militants, 2 Arambai Tenggol members in Manipur

Police said on Wednesday (23 April 2025) that security forces arrested six people, including four militants from different areas of Manipur, including four people under the ban.
A police officer in the police station said: “On Tuesday (April 22, 2025), an active female militant from the Communist Party of Canle Park (Nongdrenkhomba) was arrested at the Lampheel supermarket in the Imphal West area.
Prepak’s cadres also signed with Napetpalli Thongkhong in the East Istanbul on Tuesday (22 April 2025).
“Another insurgent who participated in the KCP (PWG) in and around the Imphal area was captured with Kekrupt in the Imphal West area. He was identified as Longjam Tony Singh (37).” the official said.
Active cadres of the banned Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (Sorepa) were also arrested on Tuesday (April 22, 2025) from Hiyanthang Makha Leikai of Imphal West District. He was identified as the Laishram Nongdamba Singh alias Lanleiba (25).
Police also arrested two members of Arambai Tenggol, a radical clothing from Jiribam district on Tuesday (22 April 2025) for allegedly involved in the kidnapping of a person from Cachar in Assam. They were identified as two residents of Jiribam district RK Khomdonsana (32) and Lourembam Thoiba alias Jackson (20).
Security forces caught the carbine, a concealed rifle, seven magazines, 73 cartridges and 37 empty cases in the search operation on Tuesday (April 22, 2025).
