Hyderabad: Balanagar police officers abused and threatened a duty officer within the Balanagar police station area on Friday afternoon to conduct a case against four people.
According to Inspector T. Narsimha Raju, the defendants were identified as Shender, Akhil, Aditya and Kala, while the complainant was Shankar.
On Friday afternoon, the police in the Baranagar received 100 dial messages from an elderly woman Sunanda after arguing with four defendants.
When officers arrived at the location where they resolved the issue, the four reportedly pushed him and even abused him verbally. Inspectors mentioned that one of the defendants allegedly threatened police officers, saying he was a reporter. He also recorded a video of the officer and further threatened him.
In this regard, the case has been registered with the Palanagal Police Station for the hindering of a police officer on duty and threatening him. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
