5.9 earthquake hits Afghanistan, trembling in Delhi-NCR

A magnitude 5.9 earthquake hit Kush, Afghanistan in India, early Wednesday morning.

The Seismology Centre (EMSC) in the Middle Europe said a 5.9 earthquake hit the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan early Wednesday morning, and parts of India, including the Delhi-NCR region, were trembling.

The NCS reported that the earthquake occurred 75 kilometers below the surface. Especially close to the epicenter, an earthquake with an amplitude of 5.9 is considered sufficient to cause significant damage. But so far, no damage or casualties have been reported.
