With the production of popular actress Samantha’s upcoming new era film Subhamshe joins an impressive list of female stars like Kajal Aggarwal, Niharika Konidela and Charmme Kaur, who supports other actors.
“It’s a welcome trend – actresses turn to producers,” said senior producer Lagadapati Sridhar. “They naturally bring emotional core to storytelling and often firmly control the budget. These qualities seem to be born to present.”
He believes that Samantha’s entry into the world of production is a major change. “She has achieved unique identities in both Tollywood and Bollywood. After providing a powerful performance in the film oh! baby and Yashodanow she will prove her intuition in script selection, execution and innovative promotional strategies. ”
Sridhar also praised Niharika Konidela, who is Curolo Committeenostalgic tribute to children’s friendship. “I heard she was a hands-on producer who was deeply involved in every aspect of the filmmaking process and was committed to making sure the film was appealing to the audience.”
He continues to thank veterans like Charmme Kaur and Lakshmi Manchu who ventured into production a few years ago. “Female producers bring much-needed discipline to industries known for their chaos. They have made creative contributions to the script, often leading the way in filmmaking. Once limited to characters centered on interstellar characters, production allows them to freely shape the story and build their presence in key creative areas.”
Sridhar also mentioned pioneering producers like Swapna Dutt (Kalki 2898 AD), harika (Crazy) and Sushmita Konidela, both of whom have successfully handled large budget projects.
“I can’t forget my wife, Celisha,” he said with a smile. “She is the backbone of Ramalakshmi Cine Creations. Her disciplinary executions in good scripts and budgets are crucial to our success. Women are smart, practical and intuitive – we can all learn a thing or two from them.
