The popular Pakistani show features actors such as Hania Aamir, Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, which may not be available in India. The ministry has asked streaming platforms to stop Pakistani content, citing security issues and threats to India’s unity, integrity and sovereignty.

Tensions between India and Pakistan escalated after the Pahargam attack, resulting in India banning Instagram accounts of numerous Pakistani artists including Hanya Amir, Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan. Meanwhile, on Thursday, all OTT platforms were instructed to remove all content from Pakistan from their platforms.

1. HUMSAFAR

Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan’s romantic drama Humsafar attracts viewers with its chemistry and fascinating storyline. Mahira Khan’s portrayal of Khirad and her chemistry on screen, Fawad Khan attracted audiences across the country.

2. Zindagi Gulzar Hai

Another very popular drama, the series brings Fawad Khan’s acting abilities to a more mature and complex role. The story is based on the novel “Umera Ahmed” and shows the protagonist of Mahira Khan.

This Pakistani drama features Mahira Khan and Adnan Malik and tells the love story between an innocent girl and a city boy.

4. Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum

It also instructs OTT streaming platforms to stop using web series, movies and songs of Pakistan Origin.

“To gain national security benefits, it is recommended that all OTT platforms, media streaming platforms and intermediaries operated in India have stopped web series, movies, songs, podcasts and other streaming media content, whether subscription-based or other subscription-based models, whether origins in Pakistan, are immediately available, have a direct impact.”
