Mr Sujiwara, the leader of the Congress from Haryana, mentioned that Punjab police officers were allegedly deployed in the Bakra-Nange Dam, claiming that it had blocked the release of water to Haryana. He demanded that the center should get rid of “illegal professions.”
“What is the reason why the Narendra Modi government did not issue a written order to the Mann government (in some cases dealing with the Union's control over the state) under article 257 of the Constitution? Why does it not give instructions not to stop the water in Haryana?” asked Mr Surjewala.
Congress Rajya Sabha MP demanded that the Modi government should hand over the security of the Bhakra-Nangal dam project to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
