A pregnant woman traveled by train from Cherlapalli to Kishanganj, experiencing severe labor pains and gave birth to a baby in her S4 coach on Sunday evening (April 13, 2025).
Visakhapatnam’s commercial control team provided immediate assistance to K. Jainab (31), who gave birth to the baby, and quickly took care of her and ensured safe delivery. Both mothers and newborns are safe, according to a statement issued by the railway.
The mother and infant were handed over to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) for further medical and transportation.
