CM Revanth tells collectors to give people tips about Bhu Bharati

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday warned district collectors not to make any mistakes when appropriately implementing the new Bhu Bharati Act, the Indiramma Housing Plan and the uninterrupted supply of drinking water in the summer.

At the collector meeting held by MCRHRDI, he asked all regional collectors to visit Mandals and hold meetings to educate the public about the provisions and interests of the Bhu Bharati Act to ensure that people are fully aware of initiatives at the grassroots level.

While emphasizing the importance of the field consciousness movement, the Chief Minister directed collectors to attend each Manda’s meeting, interact with the farmers, and clarify their suspicions in simple, easy-to-access language.

He said the developed Bhu Bharati portal will simplify land ownership records and address long-term imminent income issues.

The Chief Minister stressed the inefficiency of the past under the Dharani portal of the BRS regime and noted that farmers were often forced to appeal to courts due to bureaucratic negligence. Under the new Bhu Bharati Act, the tax office is tasked with addressing these issues directly, including notifying citizens of appeals.

As part of the pilot phase of the portal, the Chief Minister directed awareness meeting in Maddur (Narayanpet), Nelakondapalli (Khammam), Lingampeta (Kamaddy) and Venkatapur (Mulugu) and received full participation from competitive staff at the regional level. He added that Tax Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and other senior ministers will also attend the meetings.

Revanth Reddy also stressed the need to effectively implement the Indiramma housing program. The Mandal-level committee will review housing applications approved at the village level and finalize approval with the district responsible minister. To ensure constant oversight, Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari was directed to appoint special officials in each parliamentary constituency. These officials will coordinate between various committees and district officials to monitor progress in construction.

The Chief Minister issued a harsh warning that no political or external pressure should affect the distribution of the house. He warned that if unqualified beneficiaries were selected, the Mandal-level committee and special officials would face strict action. He allocated 3,500 houses in each constituency, and he stressed the need for fair distribution based on rural population and strict compliance with deadlines.

The Chief Minister urged collectors to monitor rural water levels through dashboards and maintain ongoing coordination with the irrigation, drinking water supply and energy sectors on summer drinking water supply. For areas without pipes or operating faucets, especially in tribal residences, contingency plans must be developed.

Revanth Reddy guarantees that funds have been paid for piping repairs and Borewell maintenance will be provided if necessary. He directed collectors to notify the Chief Secretary immediately when water supply is interrupted, especially in Hyderabad and other urban areas.

Deputy Chief Minister Malu Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Konda Surekha and senior officials from various departments attended the meeting.
