India commemorates Ambedkar Jayanti at the United Nations

“Today, India’s permanent mission organizes this important function. We are celebrating the birth anniversary of Dr. Baba Sahib Ambedka. Not only throughout India, but many countries are celebrating it.”
He expressed his appreciation for India’s permanent mission to the United Nations with a “firm commitment to international dialogue, social justice and inclusion”.
Deelip Mhaske, chairman of the Human Vision Foundation, proposed making Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy Nelson Mandela. He thanked the mayor for his support.
“Dr. Ambedkar is more important than the leading architect of the Indian Constitution – he is a visionary thinker, relentless reformer, a relentless reformer, advocate of advocate, and a marginalized builder whose ideals transcend borders and the construction of New York City. In his concluding remarks, he said: “As we have collected today, let us die for Dr. Ambedkar’s values for our own values, for everyone’s life, equality, fraternity and dignity.”
During the ceremony, India’s permanent representative of the United Nations, Parvathaneni Harish, also emphasized that Dr. Ambedkar’s contribution was a key figure in India’s freedom struggle and constitutional architects.
Speaking with Ani, Athawale once said: “In Maharashtra, Babasaheb Ambedkar worked very hard”, highlighting how the world knows Dr. Ambedkar’s name and his philosophy.
Athawale notes that in the field of knowledge, many people also support Ambedkar’s philosophy.
He stressed that Dr. Ambedkar was an outstanding student and would study for hours at the library at Columbia University, which now has his statue installed.
Athawale stressed: “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strongly supported the philosophy of Baba Saheb Ambedkar.”
He said when he became Prime Minister he began the celebration of November 26 as Constitution Day and is now celebrated throughout India: “The government is fully supporting the philosophy of Baba Saheb Ambedkar.”
Deelip Mhaske, president of the Human Horizon Foundation, told ANI that throughout the United States, work is being done with local governments, county governments, and the governor’s office to declare Ambedkar’s day as Equality Day.
New York City has declared April 14 as “Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar Day”, who acknowledges the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, which will mark his 134th anniversary.
