Radical and security forces launched a major counter-electromagnetic operation in Poonch, Pir Panjal Valley, after a fire exchange on Sunday (13 April 2025).
The Army spokesman said security forces had linked with terrorists in a joint operation launched last night with the J&K police in Surankote Lasana.
“Further troops have been introduced and search operations are underway to prevent terrorists from escaping,” the Army said.
The number of militants hidden in the region cannot be established immediately. In the past month, the Jamu area has killed five militants and four policemen in anti-tax exemption operations.
