RERA command Saket to solve buyer problems

Hyderabad: A group of seniors at the Saket Pranamam housing project have contacted Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA) to raise concerns about the commitments of developers Saket engineers in facilities, poor maintenance and property issues.

Under Saket Pranamam Senior Friends Association, residents filed a complaint that essential services such as drinking water, electricity and gasoline connections were missing or delayed. They also pointed to problems such as storm leaks in public areas, which they say poses a safety risk to older people.

The hearing was held on January 29, 2025, during which time both residents and developers made their arguments. Residents claim that developers have established a cooperative society without acknowledging their connections, leaving their attention unheard of.

In response, Saket engineers claimed that the association was legally formed with the approval of most flat owners. They attributed the construction delay to the 19th pandemic and said small issues raised by residents are being resolved. The company also questioned whether the association that filed the complaints truly represented all residents.

With hearing both sides, Rera directed developers to resolve future issues and provided greater transparency for maintenance costs. Although it does not formally recognize the Complaints Association as the only effective association, it emphasizes the need for inclusion and equitable management within the cooperative.
