130 years later, Singapore has worked on mines outside TG

Hyderabad: Nearly 130 years after its establishment, Singaporeni Collies Company Limited (SCCL) will mine the mine outside Naini Coal Block in Angul district of Odisha on Wednesday. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka will actually open in Naini Block, one of the country’s largest coal mines with the ability to produce 10 million tons of coal per year for 38 years.
SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N. Balram said that running mine operations at Naini Block is an important milestone and after nine years of waiting, it is a major milestone. The union’s coal ministry allocated the Naini neighborhood to Singaporeni in 2016 and took nine years to obtain the license.
After several submissions by the state government, an initiative by union coal minister G. Kishan Reddy and deputy CM Bhatti toured to Bhubaneswar, helped SCCL get approval from the Odisha government.
SCCL has signed a contract to remove the cover (soil), excavate coal and its transportation projects. The coal produced by the mine will pass through the road leading to Jalapada Railway Station.
SCCL is also pursuing a new 60km long railway line in the center, expected to take shape in the next three years. For the Naini coal seam, approximately 2,255 acres of woodland were acquired, including 1,935 acres of woodland and 320 acres of private land.
Graphic information
1. NAINI coal blocks have 340.78 million tons of coal reserves. When coal production reaches its peak, Nini can produce tens of millions of tons of coal per year.
2. This will be the largest coal mine in Singapore, larger than its 17 open mines.
3. Singaporeni is replacing 12 tons of earth to produce one ton of coal in its open mines. In Naini, only two and a half cubic meters of cover removal is enough to produce a ton of coal, so more profits are expected.
4. NainiBlock has high-quality and high-quality coal in G-10 varieties.
