Shikhar Dhawan shares life lessons from cricket journey to coaching

Mumbai: Amazon’s free streaming service, Amazon MX Player, raises the ante with Battleground, a high-octane fitness reality show that blends intense physical challenges, strategic gameplay and psychological endurance. In “House of Battlefield”, contestants are pushed to their bodies and emotions as they compete for strength, endurance and self-confidence. Cricket icon Shikhar Dhawan becomes a super mentor, bringing a rooted and powerful presence to the show. From years on the court, he provides guidance rooted in experience, calmness and active leadership. The team is led by Asim Riaz, Rajat Dalal, Rubina Dilaik and Abhishek Malhan, who each lead their squad through a strong journey of resilience, growth and unfiltered competition.

Shikhar Dhawan reflects on his evolution from cricket idol to mentor, sharing: “Cricket has taught me a lot about life, especially how to keep going without things going forward. It strengthens my belief in performance, discipline and real leadership, keeping calm in the team, being calm under pressure, being filled with positive energy and most importantly.”

Speaking about the contestants and journeys on the battlefield and how it reflects his experience in cricket, he added: “It reminds me of a lot of my time on the field. You can have great skills. But without the right mindset, you won’t last long, and after success, success blends the two. I’ve seen some people start working hard to build their spirits, and they’re working hard to build their efforts and they work hard to build their efforts and they work hard to build their efforts and blend in. Overconfidence – it’s not always a bad thing.
