Nakabandi added an increased number of checkpoints at strategic locations to inspect vehicles over a month or more.

Jurisdiction is instructed to set up roadblocks at strategic locations and deploy a team of police officers, and NERE-HORE KAVALU PADE (Neighborhood Watch Committee) to help police conduct vehicle inspections.

“Nakabandi’s special motivation is complementing the existing night beats and Hoysala patrol system to effectively curb property crime,” said B. Dayananda, chief of the Bangalore City Police. According to him, the new system is effective, and property-related crimes such as house rest, mobile robbery and robbery collapsed sharply compared to the past three months.

Each Naka will be guarded by a team of five members, including the jurisdictional police and members of the Neighborhood Watch Committee to inspect suspicious vehicles, especially at night.
