Meet Bhagyashree, a Bollywood actress from the royal family, and left the industry shortly afterwards

The late 1980s marked a period of change in Bollywood, with established stars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Rekha and Vinod Khanna losing their box office advantage.

This shift created a demand for fresh faces and the film appeared in 1989, which seemed to satisfy that demand. It features two new immigrants, breaking box office records. But, despite the hero continuing to be a superstar, the heroine’s career disappeared. Many in the industry believe that her own actions contributed to this decline.

Bhagyashree made her Bollywood debut in 1989 Maine Pyar Kiya. At the age of 20, she starred in Salman Khan, 24, and the film became the highest film of the year, pushing the two of them instant stars. Salman Khan got a lot of movies after the success of the film, and Bhagyashree chose a different path.

In 1990, she married the Himalaya Dassani and her career changed unexpectedly. She made it clear that after marriage, she would only work with her husband and other actors. The couple appeared together in three movies – Qaid Mein Bulbul,,,,, Tyagiand Payal – All of this failed at the box office. As a result, Bhagyashree retired at the age of 24.

In 1997, Bhagyashrey made a brief comeback in Kannada and Telugu movies, but she didn’t return to Bollywood full-time until 2006. However, this time she took on a supporting role, featuring famous movies Humko Deewana Kar Gaye. Recently, Bhagyashree appeared in thalaivii and Radhe Shyameven reunited with Salman Khan kisi ka bhai kisi ki jaan last year.

Bhagyashree is one of the rare Bollywood stars with royal descent. She is the granddaughter of Chintamarao dhuundirao Patwardhan, the last rule of Prince Sangri’s country Raja. As a result, her father, Vijay Singhrao Madhavrao Patwardhan, possessing the title of Sangli Raja, made Bhagyashree a princess when she was born.
