Ex-R&AW Chief Dulat Book Disclosure

The controversy plagued the release of the former R&AW CEO, and as a new book by Dulat, India’s former Chief Justice TS Thakur chose to stay away from becoming a guest of honor and experienced politician Farooq Abdullah, who also skipped the event.

This book Chief Minister and SpyThe release in the national capital on Friday draws heavily on the relationship Mr. Drat shared with former Jamu and Kashmir’s chief ministers.

The book involved Mr. Abdullah’s statements repealed by Article 370 of 2019, and the veteran politician allegedly “privately supported” the move.

Amid political anger, former chief minister of J&K called part of the book “imagination.” “He (Durat) is resorting to cheap stunts to improve sales of his book. The book is full of mistakes. It would be sad if he thought I was his friend and wrote the wrong thing.”

Abdullah was scheduled to have a conversation with journalist Vir Sanghvi at the press conference, but he did not attend the event.

Former CJI TS Thakur, listed as honorary guest, also skipped the program.

When Thakur was dismissed in a letter to Mr. Dulat, Justice said: “While I accepted your invitation to the distribution feature, I have been seeing a political storm in print and electronic media since yesterday (Wednesday), involving certain parts of your book, especially those who attribute certain statements to (Farooq) Abdullah, friends you admire and admire.”

“I don’t want to be promoted or recognized by a book, which has been written,” he said in the letter.

Mr Dulat said in response to the absence of Justice Thakur as honorary guest, “The main guest today is Kashmir”.

He said there was some suggestion to find another chief guest for the book’s release, but “I said for Kashmir, I don’t need a replacement”.

Regarding Mr. Abdullah’s absence and the controversy surrounding the book, he said: “Someone picked up a para[graph] And quote all this error, because English is a language that is difficult to understand. ”

“People need to read what was before this, and then after that paragraph, if you go to the last page, you’ll know the whole thing about the book,” the former head of R&AW said. He added: “This is one of the highest leaders in Kashmir, he is a legend and no one can change what anyone says.”

Mr. Dulat is the Special Director of the Intelligence Agency and then continues to lead the Research and Analysis Department. After retirement, he became an advisor to the Kashmir Prime Minister.
