Minister Dola conducted surprise inspection at KGH

Visakhapatnam: Social Welfare Minister Dola Sree Bala Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy, head of Visakhapatnam District Minister, visited King George Hospital (KGH) on Friday. He conducted an inspection to assess the quality of health care and the status of infrastructure. During the visit, he spoke with patients and medical staff from various departments.

The Minister sought information on providing and reviewing information on official documents concerning the operation of the hospital. He told patients that he stressed the government’s commitment to providing high-quality health care, especially in segments that are unfavorable to the economy.

He announced that the casualty ward in KGH is being renovated at a cost of Rs 1 crore. A proposal has been submitted to establish a new obstetrics and gynecology ward.

Dr. Veeranjaneya Swamy reiterated that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is committed to fostering a healthy Andhra Pradesh. Medical professionals must align with this goal.

By the way, the Minister is an alumnus of Andhra Medical College. He met KGH doctors and administrators. He directed them to create child-friendly facilities including feeding rooms and dedicated children’s toilets near the outpatient area.

Dr. Veeranjaneya Swamy instructed staff to interact with patients politely. He warned of any kind of malfeasance and warned that strict action would be taken against those who received bribes. In this regard, CCTV cameras will be installed throughout the hospital facilities to enhance the monitoring process, he said.

The minister assured that the state government will consider building other buildings and recruiting medical staff as needed.
