Char Dham Yatra is one of India’s most important pilgrimages – including visits to four sacred Himalayan shrines: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. In Hindi, “char” means four and “dham” refers to religious destinations. It is believed that Char Dham Yatra should be done clockwise. So the pilgrimage starts at Yamunotri, then heads to Gangotri, then arrives at Kedarnath, and ends at Badrinath. Journeys can be completed by road or in the air, and helicopter services can also be provided. Some devotees took on the dom yatra, which was the pilgrimage to two shrines: Keidanas and Badrinath. On April 10, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said the state government is committed to ensuring the safety of the pilgrims of Char Dham Yatra, as this pilgrimage is crucial to the state’s economy.

CM Dhami said: “I am still in a meeting. I also presided over a meeting that reviewed the preparations for Yatra. We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of pilgrims. CharDham Yatra is the lifeline of our state economy.”
