Men show how Starbucks offers the same amount of coffee in different sizes, netizens respond

A video showing the so-called differences in Starbucks size has become popular on the internet. In the video, a person pours a small cup of coffee into a medium cup that is completely filled, and then pours the medium cup into a large cup, which is also completely filled.

A recent video shows the so-called Starbucks size difference, which became popular, gained over 300,000 views and sparked a heated debate online. The video shows how the same amount of coffee fits into different sizes of cups, which leads many to believe that Starbucks is cheating on customers.

In the video, a person pours a small cup of coffee into a medium cup that is completely filled, and then pours the medium cup into a large cup, which is also completely filled. He attributed the phenomenon to the circumference of the bottom of the cup, claiming that customers who order larger sizes basically get the same coffee as those who order smaller sizes.

Starbucks offers customers three sizes – small (can hold about 354 ml), medium (473 ml) and large (591 ml).

However, the video sparked rumors that the cafe chain is cheating customers because all three sizes of cups hold the same amount of liquid, but when ordering larger sizes, customers pay more.

Although some viewers expressed anger and suspicion, others pointed out that the video might be misinformation. One user commented: “You should check authenticity before posting anything. Stop spreading error messages.”

Another user explained: “Starbucks can be tricky! As the cup height increases, the width decreases, so the sizes look different. However, each size contains a different amount of coffee (ML), and that’s how their business works.”

A third user questioned the identity of the video, and he wrote: “Is this video accurate?”

However, so far, Starbucks has not officially responded to the viral video or its claims. Despite the controversy, the coffee giant remains one of the most popular and well-known brands in the world, with over 38,000 locations worldwide.
