Man tells Bengaluru’s car driver to ‘speak Hindi’, sparks rebound

A viral video shows a man telling a car driver that “speak in Hindi if you want to stay in Bangalore” caused a social media sensation. In the video, the man angrily told the driver to speak Hindi, and the driver replied: “You are in Bangalore and you can speak Kannada. I can’t speak Hindi.”
Although the reason for the argument is unclear, the person’s comments triggered a strong reaction, especially online. Many people criticized the man for not respecting the local language Kannada.
On social media, users share their opinions with some defending car drivers. One user wrote: “I don’t support violence, but the person in the video is wrong. Does he want the locals to speak his language?” Others pointed out that many of Bangalore’s Canadigas speak Hindi, but they still speak Kannada as much as possible.
