Hopefully, Ukraine will reach an agreement this week: Trump

Washington, DC: U.S. President Donald Trump expressed optimism that Russia and Ukraine could reach a peace deal this week to end the ongoing war.

Trump stepped towards his media platform truth socializing on Sunday (local era), and both can “make money” by doing business with the United States once the two countries reach an agreement.

“Hopefully, Russia AMD Ukraine will reach an agreement this week. Both will then begin to do big business with the United States of America, which is booming and bringing wealth to life,” Trump wrote.

Meanwhile, CNN reported on Friday that an official familiar with the proposed framework said the United States is ready to take control of Crimea as part of a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.

The peace proposal includes an immediate ceasefire between the two countries. The framework was shared with Ukrainian and European officials on Thursday.

However, some works are still needed to be filled in, and the United States plans to work with Europe and Ukraine in London next week, sources said.

Russia annexed Crimea in 2014 after its military invasion – a move widely condemned by the international community as illegal.

CNN reported that Donald Trump also said that if the two sides propose negotiations are too difficult, the United States may “pass” its efforts to make a peace deal.

“If for some reason one of the two parties makes it very difficult, we just say, ‘You’re stupid, you’re stupid. You’re scary people,’ and we’re just going to pass.”

CNN reported that despite warnings, Trump expressed cautious optimism about reaching a deal. He added: “I think we have a great chance to complete it.
