Elderly dragged in Chatalpur Hospital

A video of a septuagenarian being dragged by two men in a government hospital in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district has gone viral on social media, with authorities and the victim giving conflicting versions of the chain of events. While the man said he was kicked and slapped by a doctor after his turn came following a long wait in the queue, hospital authorities said he had come out of turn, which triggered an argument.
The incident occurred on April 17, when Uddhav Singh Joshi, a resident of the town of Nog, came to the Chatalpur Regional Hospital for his wife’s medical examination. Speaking to reporters, Josh said: “I stayed in the queue for a long time after getting the slip of the time slot. When it was my turn, Dr. Rajesh Mishra opposed it and then slapped and kicked me.”
Civil surgeon Gl Ahirwar dismissed his allegations, saying the place was overcrowded, Dr. Mishra opposed it because Joshi broke the cohort. In the viral video, two men can be seen holding Josh’s hand and dragging him. Viral video shows a seventy-year-old person being dragged to a hospital in Chatalpur, sparking anger and conflicting remarks from victims and authorities.
