On April 19, the court temporarily blocked Venezuelan immigrants who were accused of gang-related immigration under wartime law. The government tried to lift the order, but conservative Justices Thomas and Alito objected. The American Civil Liberties Union believes that immigrants are wrongly labeled as gang members and deny due process.
