1. Wife and daughter booked for murder of former DGP OM Prakash
HSR layout police booked his wife and daughter under Article 103 of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita on April 20, murdered former Karnataka Police Chief Om Prakash, and murdered in Bangalore on April 20. Preliminary investigations show that Om Prakash was in a dispute with Pallavi during lunch at HSR Layout. The argument escalated and led to his murder. A handful of kitchens were used to stab him several times and his glass bottle was broken.
The mother and daughter were booked in a FIR with police registration in a complaint filed by 38-year-old Om Prakash’s son Karthikesh, 38. He was not at work when the incident happened. Karthikesh claimed in the complaint that his mother and sister both suffer from depression and quarrel with her father every day. He suspected that both sides might have killed his father.

Baiyappanahalli police are looking for a bicycle rider who attacked an IAF pilot in CV Raman Nagar on the morning of April 18, 2025 for alleged highway anger. The victim, wing commander Shiladitya Bose, suffered multiple injuries after being attacked by bicycle keys and stones. He is heading to Kempegowda International Airport (Kia) to Kolkata.
Although Mr Boss left the city without filing a police complaint, his wife and squadron leader Madhumita posted in Bangalore with Drdo at the time of the incident and later filed a complaint on his behalf. WG. CDR. Bose recorded a video from his phone at the airport detailing the attack and filed an emotional appeal for the action against the crime.
3. Karnataka CET 2025: Another incident related to Sagar’s “Sacred Thread”, police registration case
Shivamogga police officers were told to delete his “Janivara” before entering Sagar’s CET exam hall on April 16 after a student complaint. The student only informed his parents of “Janivara” after reading events related to Shivamogga and elsewhere in the media.
According to his complaint, registered on April 19 during the candidate’s physical examination, staff told him to delete his “sacred thread”. He obeyed the order and entered the examination hall of the former college of the Sagar Town Government. As he walked out of the hall, he noticed that the “Sacred Line” was thrown into the trash.
4. Peace Commission meeting after portrait of Dr. Ambedka defiles near Bellagarve
Villagers of Mugat Khan Hubli near Kitel in the Bellagave region held a peace commission meeting after defaming the portrait of Dr. BR Ambedkar on April 21. The elders decided not to take the law into their hands and filed a police complaint.
Police immediately arrived at the village and were investigating. They collected CCTV footage of the Gandhinagar region where the incident occurred. Officials also called for peace and assurance of action for wrongful acts.
