Karimnagar: The Minister of State of the Interior Ministry, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, praised Dr. Br Ambedkar for his rise from poverty and caste discrimination on Monday, urging youth to follow his perseverance at a seminar in the BJP region, marking Ambedkar Jayanti here.
Sanjay Kumar accused Congress of marginalizing Ambedkar’s legacy – denying his due recognition, blocking his final ritual in Delhi and accusing his family of transporting his body to Mumbai, and rejecting the recommendations of the Mandal Commission while also favoring religious-based people.
By contrast, he cites the BJP initiative: the post-death Bharat Ratna, the development of five Ambedka pilgrimage sites, the Constitution Day Monument, the repeal of Article 370, granting NCBC authorization and strengthening of the political representation of the Dalits, OBC and women.
