Poster on ripe mango poster

Hyderabad: Health Minister C. Damodar Rajanarsimha released two independent awareness posters on ways to prevent stroke and safe mango ripening during a public event held in the TSMSIDC office on Monday.
The first poster prepared by the health department lists the basic precautions citizens should take to reduce the risk of stroke. The Minister recommends avoiding direct sunlight during peak hours, keeping moisture, wearing lightweight fabrics, and using protective accessories such as awnings or hats. If symptoms such as fatigue or dizziness occur, he asks people to seek medical assistance immediately.
The Minister encouraged bystanders to call 108 Emergency Services and, when someone was affected by heating and health officials, has directed to launch advocacy campaigns in various regions, especially for the most vulnerable children, such as children, older people and pregnant women.
A second poster prepared by the health department’s food safety department encourages traditional chemical-free ripe mangoes. The minister warned suppliers and merchants against the use of banned agents such as calcium carbide, noting that under the Food Safety and Standards Act, such practices could lead to legal action.
Food safety officials have been asked to increase monitoring of markets and storage units. Regular inspections will determine and punish violators. Rajanarasimha said the department’s actions are designed to protect public health while requiring cooperation from suppliers and marketing associations.
