Water samples collected from locations 8, 9 and 10 of Woraiyur in Tiruchi were tested negative for harmful pathogenic organisms, company officials said Monday.

After complaining about water pollution, samples were collected from 15 sites, including water sources in Kambarasampettai and Kollidam, elevated water tanks in Woraiyur, Taps in Pannikan Street, Pandamangalam Main Road, Nachiyapuram, Pandamangalam Main Road near Chelandiyyamman Kovil, Chelandiyyamman Kovil and Tanker Lorry in Surande for Sunday for Suthers Lorry. Water is provided to Woraiyur from Kollidam in Ayyalamman Padithurai and Cauvery in Kambarasampettai.

City health officials said drinking water is colorless and clear in appearance, edible and free of harmful pathogenic organisms, according to reports received Monday from the Regional Public Health Water Analysis Laboratory.

According to officials, residential areas have been under health surveillance and officials are closely monitoring the situation. In total, 40 special health teams were deployed in affected areas to check and monitor residents’ status.

A total of 15 medical teams have established camps, 15 field trip teams of health nurses are engaged in door-to-door drug distribution, and 10 monitoring teams have been formed to check all homes in the area to check their health and make sure everyone is taking the medication.

“Health workers were asked to allow patients with two diarrhea in urban primary health centers to be monitored. Middle-aged patients suffered from more than four episodes of diarrhea, and patients enjoyed patients over the age of 70, two of which were published twice, both receiving treatment from government and private hospitals and being accepted.”

On Monday, as part of the precautions, drugs for 9,025 people, including antibiotics and zinc tablets, were distributed to 9,025 people, and more than 14,000 oral rehydration salt packs were distributed. Up to 40 patients were considered outpatients in medical camps, and 34 were taken to the hospital. Of these, 27 were taken to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital, and 7 were taken to private hospitals in the city. About 20 people were taken to the hospital on Sunday.

The water supply has been suspended and water is supplied to the tanker’s homes. A special team of workers engages in removing existing water and identifying pipe leaks or damages (if any). The official added that officials and inspectors are overseeing the process.
