CPI(M), Congress beats TMC in cooperative polls

Berhampore: CPI(M) – National Officials Alliance ruled a cooperative society from Nabagram in Murshidabad, West Bengal.
Two of the opposition’s allies won five seats and retained two in the TMC in the 12 seats elections held on Sunday.
It turned out to appear at night under tight security arrangements. Earlier, TMC won the co-op in 2020, which is undisputed. Regional Congress leader Dhirendra Nath Yadav congratulated voters.
He said: “Starting with Nabagram Adhir Chowdhury, he started as MLA in 1996. It was a strong CPI (M) base. But TMC released a reign of terror. It grabbed the cooperative during the backdoor, won the cooperation at the backdoor, but won all seats without any competition. But this time the vote gave them both a seat.
