Anthony Albanese is asked to “disrespect” the move after Pope Francis’ death: “Scammers”

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been called a “scammer” as Australians claim he used the papal’s death to seek political gains before next month’s federal election.

Mr. Albanese suspended the campaign after Pope Francis’ death on Monday, but the Prime Minister held a press conference shortly after opposition leader Peter Dutton followed suit.

Mr Albanes gathered the press at the Commonwealth Parliament office in Melbourne to pay tribute to the pope while also raising questions on Tuesday.

Online Australians launched a harsh attack on the Prime Minister’s rapid rebound.

‘He is a liar, it’s too natural for him. one person wrote.

“He just didn’t want to give Dutton any call time. It has nothing to do with the pope,’ said another.

The third adds: “He doesn’t respect anyone”.

Mr. Albanese had already paid tribute to the Pope at a media conference the night before, calling him “the great champion of St. Francis, the poor man of Assisi”.

The Father is one of the most important leaders of this century and in our lives. Indeed, he is the Pope of the People. ” he said in the latest press conference.

“I will stop other campaign-related activities this morning. Today, the flag will last halfway on the Commonwealth building near Australia. ”

Even though these comments were interpreted as pauses in the campaign, Mr. Albanese still asked questions from journalists asking about his faith.

“I said I grew up from three great faiths. I’ve said it many times,” said Mr. Albanese.

He is talking about South Sydney Rabbits, the Catholic Church and the Labor Party.

“I think what people do is learn from their identities, and of course, my Catholicism is just a part of me,” he said.

Australia continues to hammer the Prime Minister online.

“Politicize the death of the poor old pope to reduce Dutton’s call time and policy release. one person wrote.

“Albo’s pause is indeed a campaign strategy designed to make him look good among Catholics. So, this is not a real pause, is it? Another said.

Mr Dutton also agreed to suspend his campaign, saying it was not the time for “super political”.

Polls are obviously open today. There is a leader debate tonight. I understand that the Prime Minister is happy to continue doing this. ” Dutton said.

Although he confirmed that he would cancel the scheduled event, other candidates continued to make public appearances before the election.

Finance Minister Katy Gallagher, Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek and Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles hosted the press conference on Tuesday.

National leader David Littleproud, shadow interior secretary James Paterson and opposition leader Sussan Ley also planned the campaign.

The Albany government announced legislation to guarantee paid parental leave for parents suffering from stillbirth or early deaths in infants.

The preliminaries opened on Tuesday, and voters across the country were able to vote before the May 3 election.
