The United Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the final results of the Civil Service Examination (CSE) 2024 on Tuesday, with Shah Margi Chirag taking the All India Ranking 4. UPSC conducts civil service examinations in three phases each year, which are conducted by preliminary, main and interviews of UPSC to select Indian Administrative Services Agency (IAS), Indian Foreign Ministry (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others. A total of 9,92,599 candidates applied for the examination, of which 5,83,213 were actually present.
A total of 14,627 candidates are eligible to appear in court in a written (main) exam held in September 2024. Of these, 2,845 candidates are eligible for the personality test or interview.
Of these, the Committee recommends that 1,009 candidates (725 men and 284 women) appoint various services. Among the ultimately qualified candidates, the top five make up three women and two men.
