Israel strike kills 14 kills in Gaza, destroying heavy equipment needed to remove rubble

A municipality in the Jabalia region in northern Gaza said its parking lot strike destroyed nine bulldozers provided by Egypt and Qatar, which helped brokers hold a ceasefire in January.
Israel ended its armistice last month, renewed bombing and ground operations and closed two million Palestinians in the territory from all imports, including food, fuel and medical supplies.
The strikes also destroyed water wheels and a mobile generator provided by the aid groups, as well as trucks for pumping water, the city government of Jabaliya al-Nazla said.
The Israeli military did not immediately comment on the strike. The military said it targeted only militants and blamed it on the death of civilians in Hamas because the group operates in densely populated areas.
According to the Nasser Hospital, which received the body, the Israeli strike killed 14 people and earlier on Tuesday an Israeli air strike destroyed an Israeli air strike that destroyed a multi-storey house in the southern city of Khan Yunis and killed nine people, including four women and four children. The deceased included a 2-year-old girl and her parents.
“They fell asleep, sleeping in God’s peace. They had nothing to do with anything,” said Awad Dariz, the grandfather of the murdered girl. “What’s wrong with this innocent child?”
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health Emergency Services, three children and their parents were killed on a separate strike in the construction of Jabbaria refugee camp.
According to the ministry, the Israeli air war killed more than 51,000 Palestinians, mainly women and children, which does not say how many were civilians or combatants. Israel said it has killed about 20,000 militants and provided no evidence.
The war began when Hamas-led militants attacked southern Israel on October 7, 2023, killing about 1,200 people, most of them civilians, and hijacking 251 hostages. They still hold 59 hostages, 24 of whom are considered alive, and most of the rest are released in a ceasefire agreement or other transactions.
Hamas said only the remaining hostages were released in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners, all Israel’s evacuation and a lasting ceasefire. Israel said it would continue fighting until the hostages return, Hamas was destroyed or disarmed and exiled. It has promised to retain the so-called safe zone in Gaza indefinitely.
Islamists killed in Lebanon
An Israeli drone strike in southeast Beirut killed Hussein Atwi, a Lebanese branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, a Sunni Islamic political movement. The group said he was going to work when the drone attacked.
Another person was killed in a strike in the southern Tire Province without providing further details, Lebanon’s Ministry of Health said.
Despite a ceasefire with Hezbollah radical groups in November, Israel continues to conduct regular strikes in Lebanon. Israel said it targets militants and weapons caches. The Lebanese government said 190 people have been killed and 485 injured since the ceasefire joined.
The day after Mahas’s attack on October 7, Hezbollah began firing in Israel. Israel responded by air strikes, with the Lebanese conflict escalating into a full-scale war in September when Israel launched a fierce strike and killed most of Hezbollah’s top leaders.
