Gagan’s portrayal of Nakul proposes a nuanced and thought-provoking exploration of the character’s psychology, illuminating the dark aspects of human nature and the complexity of human thought. Reflecting on his character, Gagan said: “Khauf is a very different adventure. I’ve never done something like this before – in fact, I’m scared. Fearing how people react, fearing how I deal with the darkness of Nakul,” he said in a statement.

Additionally, Gagan revealed that the character embodying Nakul’s troubled has brought him significant emotional losses. He tells the story of the character’s darkness wandering for a long time after the filming, affecting his personal life. He shared: “There were days when I couldn’t talk to my wife after the package. I couldn’t even sleep next to her. It wasn’t some way to perform the head, it was just that your own thoughts started to push back when you started believing the twisted logic of the character for too long.” This insight underlined the strong psychological demands of portraying such complex and dark personalities.

Meanwhile, Gagan’s horror series Khauf revolves around a hotel room for a young woman who covers up the history of violence. Her past plagued her struggle with the power of unreachable within the limits of the room and beyond. Directed by Pankaj Kumar and Surya Balakrishnan, the series stars Monika Panwar, Rajat Kapoor, Riya Shukla, Chum Darang, Abhishek Chauhan, Asheema Vardaan, Priyananka Setia and Rashmi Zurail Mann.
