Three-time MLA Jagga Reddy extends Rs 1 million to widow cancer victims

The Telangana Pradesh Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) worked on Tuesday at T. Jayaprakash Reddy, a cancer patient, Amani’s residence, on Tuesday at Sadashivpet, Sangareddy area.
T. Jayaprakash Reddy, working chairman of the Congress Committee of Telangana Pradesh (TPCC), extended a helping hand to Sadashivapet’s cancer-wracking widow in a heartfelt gesture, providing Rs 1 million in financial assistance to support her ongoing treatment and her two daughters.
The woman, named Amani, shared her plight with Mr Reddy when she visited her residence, which moved to the Congress leader, who immediately arranged aid of Rs 1 million. The 45-year-old widow revealed that she had borrowed a loan of Rs 7 lakh to pay for treatment and worked hard to make ends meet after her husband’s death. The mother of two daughters expressed deep emotional distress and said she had considered suicide but continued to fight for the child.
The third-term MLA praised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s recent instructions on cancer to Amani, calling it a “commendable step”. Mr Reddy also said he would bring the hardships faced by cancer patients from the background of poverty to the Chief Minister’s attention.
“When attacked by diseases such as cancer, the poor face unimaginable difficulties. Many people cannot afford treatment, putting families in destruction,” he said. He called on donors and non-governmental organizations working in the medical field to seek help. “The idea of bringing it to the media is to inspire others to donate to these victims,” he said.
