Amit Shah arrives in Srinagar for senior meeting

Terrorists attacked tourists in Jamu and Pahargam in Kashmir on Tuesday afternoon. Several tourists were killed and at least 20 were injured when terrorists opened fire on picturesque grass near Kashmir town. The death toll may be over 20 years old, and a senior official is estimated to have no detailed description, PTI reported. Security forces have been circulated in the Baisaran area to hunt down the attackers, officials said.
Jamu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Tuesday that security forces have launched operations to neutralize the Pahargam attacks by terrorists and that the perpetrators will have to pay a great price for their heinous actions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi “strongly” condemned the terrorist attacks in Jamu and Pahalgam in Kashmir on Tuesday and expressed condolences to those who had lost their loved ones. Prime Minister Modi said that in an article on X, the person behind such outrageous behavior will be brought to justice.
Earlier today, Union Home Minister Amit Shah condemned the terrorist attacks on tourists by Jamu and Pahalgam in Kashmir and said the perpetrators would face the worst consequences. He added that he would visit Srinagar for a security review meeting. Political leaders from all sides strongly condemned the firing reported in the Pahalgam region of South Kashmir, saying it was an attack on peace and tourism sectors in the region.
