VMC team visits Bangalore for research and development projects

Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC)’s company is currently conducting a two-week urban study in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, and visited Bangalore on Tuesday to study Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).
BBMP Chief Commissioner Tushar Girinath welcomed them in the Comprehensive Command Room and briefed them on the city’s development efforts, key challenges and administrative settings. He said the main challenges of the BBMP include waste management, roads, street lighting and lake preservation.
Mr. Girinath explained to VMC partners a project designed to prevent stagnation in rainfall. Under the K100 program, aquatic plants are being used to treat rainwater naturally, which helps purify the water. He said that so far, 11 kilometers of the 100-km project have been completed. He also talked about the paving of white top roads, which lasted 25 to 30 years with minimal maintenance.
He added that as part of the city’s climate action plan, Bangalore’s population accounts for 141 million people in eight regions, focusing on environmental protection, lake restoration and sustainable development.
Later, VMC floor leader Venkata Satyanarayana, who was overseeing the tour, introduced BBMP officials to the development plans and public services that the city’s VMC is implementing. The company also visited KR Road and visited the K100 project location in Shanti Nagar. Mr. Satyanarayana expressed his gratitude to the insight on behalf of the VMC.
