State Election Commission issued notice on April 28 for elections in five local agencies

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission issued five notices on Tuesday to elect mayor, chairman and vice-chairman to local institutions in urban and rural areas.

According to the schedule, notice will be issued on April 24 and a special meeting of presided over officials will be held at local agencies at 11 a.m. on April 28.

The SEC issued a notice on the election of the large Visakhapatnam Mayor and the Gontur Municipal Corporation Tuni Municipality, Chairman of Palakonda Nagar Panchayat.

To elect Mayor of Great Visakhapatnam and Gantour Municipal Corporation, the Election Bureau has authorized regional collectors or joint collectors in various regions to convene special meetings.

For other local agencies, the state election commissioner has directed the district election authorities to appoint a gazette official to oversee the election process.
