Expand the pilot of Bhu Bharati to 28 Mandals: Ponguleti

Hyderabad: Tax Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy directed regional collectors to expand the implementation of the Bhu Bharati Act Pilot project to 28 Mandans in the remaining 28 districts, starting from the first week of May. The Minister asked collectors to play an active role in implementing flagship programs such as the bhu bharati Act, Indiramma Housing Plan and Layout Regularization Plan (LRS).
The directives were held at a video conference on Tuesday, with Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari and collectors from all regions participating. The Minister reviewed the ongoing implementation of the flagship program and other revenue-related matters.
Regarding LRS, the Minister reiterated that the deadline beyond April 30 will not be extended. Citizens are urged to take advantage of the government’s 25% discount on LRS fees during the deadline. He praised collectors for their efforts to promote the implementation of LRS.
Ponguleti called the people-centered reform, which he stressed should not be considered a conventional administrative task. He asked collectors to thoroughly study the behavior and ensure meaningful public participation.
He said that under the Bhu Bharati Pilot Program, 5605 years of income have been received in four mandalas (Khammam), Maddur (Narayanpet), Lingampet (kamareddy) and Venkatapur (Mulugu) under the Bhu Bharati Pilot Program. 1,076 in Nelakondapalli, 233 in Maddur, 810 in Lingampet, 3,786 in Venkatapur.
Collecters are asked to complete all income meetings for these pilots Mandan by April 30. These pilot areas’ lessons will help launch 28 Mando scores, one in each area that excludes Hyderabad. Prior to this expansion, Tahsildars from four initial pilots Mandals will lead officials in the new pilot area, including Tahsildars, Tahsildars, Tahsildars deputy, and two other staff members for each Mandal.
To date, 159 of the 605 Mandans in the state have been held on the awareness program on the bhu bharatti Act. The Minister also directed that during these pilots’ Manda meetings, Dharani applications at the CCLA level will be made.
As the monsoon approaches, Srinivas Reddy insists that in the first week of May, Indiramma housing beneficiaries were selected and construction accelerated. Each constituency will be allocated 3,500 houses and a gazette official will oversee every 200 applications to ensure transparency. He warned that officials will be held liable if no qualifying candidates are approved.
Only homes with dimensions of 400 to 600 square feet are eligible for funding, and each Monday, phase of financial spending is directly to the beneficiary’s account, Ponguleti said.
To reduce construction costs, Srinivas Reddy said industry stakeholders coordinated with Industry Minister D. Sridhar Babu will meet soon to ensure subsidized prices for steel and cement.
He expressed his grievances at the slow pace of beneficiaries’ choices in 11 regions, including Adirabad, Jagtir, Nizamabad, Wanapasi, Manchesterlia and Gardwar.
Stamps and Registration IG Jyoti Buddha Prakash, MA&UD Chief Secretary Dana Kishore, Housing Corporation MD Gautam, CCLA, Project Director Manda Makarandu and others also attended the meeting.
